Tina Armstrong had the amazing gift of being committed to a cause so deeply, that her ambition towards that end is a raging fire, impossible to extinguish, and she will pursue her goal with unfailing effort and enthusiasm...until, that is, she changes her mind. If she could devote herself to any one pursuit for more than a few months, she'd be unstoppable.
This deeply troubled her father, Bass, who had dedicated his whole life to the art of wrestling. He was first of all troubled by her fickle attitude towards the sport, usually treating it as a mere hobby, or as a means to an end of some different form of stardom. But while he'd never admit it, he was also bothered by the fact that despite her not being one tenth as committed to the art as he was, she was almost as good, if not better.
But, with her usual lack of respect for it in mind, he was stunned when she called him one day, and as if it was the most normal thing in the world, said
"Hey, dad, I decided to become the greatest wrestler in the universe, ever, and forever. Got any tips?"
"...what?"
"Yeah, I know I've been slacking off with the whole wrestling thing a bit, what with getting my modeling, acting, singing, and volleyball-playing careers going, but y'know, there are plenty of all those already, so I asked myself, 'Tina, girl, what's a truly unique niche you could fill', and so I realized, why not excel in what I've been good at all along! Wrestling! I mean, I always do pretty good in those tournaments, but I've never actually WON. And if I did, well, that'd be something special! And even aside from those tournaments, it seems like a good way to get some of that fame I do so love. I mean, hell, kick enough people's asses, and everyone's BOUND to notice, right?"
Bass shook his head. His daughter had the amazing gift of infuriating him, sometimes intentionally, but mostly accidentally. Still, even though she would change her mind, maybe in a week, maybe in up to six months, if she was going to pursue wrestling with any degree of gusto, he would help her.
"Alright, Tina. My advice to you is simple. Are you listening?"
"Yes."
"I mean, REALLY listening?"
"Yes."
"...meat."
"What?"
"Meat is the key to wrestling greatness! But not just meat. Food! The fuel of the human engine!"
"Daddy, I like food already. You don't have to convince me."
"You need to LOVE food! How do you expect to properly kick anyone's ass without any real muscle mass? Mass means strength! And even that aside, sheer size and weight is the greatest asset a wrestler has!"
Tina pondered this. She had worked hard to get what she considered the finest body on the face of the earth, and she was unsure if she wanted to sacrifice its shape. But...well, at the moment she wanted to be the best damn wrestler around, and she was devoted to that cause. And plus: more weight meant bigger boobs. No arguing with that, she felt.
"Alright, daddy, thanks for the advice. I'm off to eat!"
With that, she hung up. Bass was going to go on to tell her about all the work out regiments and training needed to ensure that the food properly became muscle, and not fat, but by the time he tried to call her back, she had left her house, and he didn't know her cell number.
