...Huge, was quite simply the word for it. Seated on a bamboo palanquin adorned with flowers, jewels, horns, and feathers, was an enormously fat young woman, the largest Ayla had ever seen. Though her seat looked like it could fit three normal women, her bottom still seemed to ooze a bit over the sides. Ruun's feet were just barely visible, most of her legs concealed by the apron of her stomach, a thick expanse of flesh, proudly displaying her great and ample breasts like trophies upon a shelf. She was dressed in nothing but a jeweled necklace and tiara. Her hair and eyes were an emerald green color, and her skin was lightly tanned. At the moment, The "goddess" was being waited upon hand and foot by a cadre of male servants, tending to her whims as she brought a red and juicy fruit to her mouth. The man who had been leading the Ioka to this destination got down on his knees and kowtowed to her.
"Oh, Great Goddess... Please forgive intrusion. Chief of newcomers wish to speak with you."
Ruun bit into the fruit messily, the juices glistening upon her plump lips and cheeks, running down her body. One of the servants reached in to wipe off the mess as she gazed upon the Ioka and their chieftain, who looked upon the spectacle with slack jaws and wide eyes.
"Yes?"
All of the diplomatic tactics that Ayla had been going over during the trip were blown away by the sheer absurdity of what lay before her.
All tact lost, Ayla voiced the first words that came to mind.
"YOU FAT."
Ruun stared blankly for a moment, and then giggled.
"Thank you!"
Shaking off what could have been a major faux pas, Ayla started to speak.
"Me Ayla, lead Ioka tribe. Go through many hard times! Beat Reptites! Beat dinosaurs! Bring in other tribes! Make Ioka big and strong! Want live here, live easy, but no want follow Ruun, but no want fight."
The goddess seemed to consider Ayla's words for a minute. Then, she too began to speak.
"Me Ruun, lead Debu tribe. Live here since forever. Only one tribe in land, or disaster come. Stones and clouds and ancestors say so. Ruun have powers. Special. Ruun fat, so land fat. Ruun fat, Ayla not fat. Ayla no lead. Ioka join Debu or Ioka leave. Sorry."
Ayla fumed, and began to punch into the air.
"Ayla strong! Beat up disaster big time! Beat up Red Star! Beat up everything! Ayla challenge Ruun! Any challenge!"
There was a tense silence that seemed to last an eternity...
...Before it was broken by the shaking of Ruun's laughter.
"Hahaha! Ruun accept challenge. I choose. Leader must be fat. So, if you get fatter than Ruun by full moon, Debu join Ioka, Ayla chief. If you not fatter, Ioka join Debu, Ruun chief... And Ayla servant."
Ayla stared. She was hoping for something along the lines of a hunting contest, or mortal combat, something she could win easily. She wasn't sure about this, but her pride was urging her not to give in so easily.
"Well? What you say?"
