Samus was in her ship after a long day of fighting space pirates. Her Chozo suit was so damaged that she had to keep it off for her ship to repair it, leaving her in her Zero Suit. She sat down in her chair and checked the status of the ship's integrity which, though not much, was a worry to the bounty hunter as it was enough to keep her on the defensive side for the next few hours. While she was checking for any signs of severe damage, her ship picked up a distress signal from an unknown planet she decided to answer it after hearing the information the ship gave her on it.
It was a large planet, called Stufficas. The information on the planet's lifeforms said they were small and weak. The distress signal, though, was not of the planets lifeforms. It said that a Space Pirate ship was attacking. "Just one?" Samus said "That shouldn't be to bad. I can handle one ship." She punched in the coordinates of the planet given to her in the distress signal and her ship entered space jump mode.
When she arrived, there was the single space pirate ship but it wasn't an ordinary Space Pirate Battleship, it was a huge Flagship that immediately fired when Samus' ship appeared on the radar. Her ship lost so much energy that it shut down and drifted into Stufficas' atmosphere.
