You look up at your giant sister. She is pointing right at you. Yes, I'm saved, you think to yourself. A black cealing sudenly blocks her out and before you can react you were compressed into the carpet beneath you.
"I hate bugs. Todd really needs to vacuum this room. See this is why I tell you both to be neater. I'm sure there are more pests around."
"Mom," Annie shrugged forgetting about the bug that had caught her attention just a moment before. Her mom ground her high heel shoe into the carpet trying to smash the vermin for good measure. Once her foot left the carpet they didn't see anything so chances were she had gotten it. "Well, I'll keep an eye out for Todd. Ciao." Annie left.
Her mother took another look inside the bedroom and then likewise left to get ready for her day. She had only a few minutes before she needed to go.
