Chapter #5The prince of the sea... by: Unknown Ash and Misty are walking towards Pewter City, where Ash will have his first Gym battle when Misty's stomach growls.
"I'm so hungry." She cries out! Ash sighs and then looks at his bag to find that there wasn't anything in it besides the usual stuff, spare clothes, Poke Balls, ext... But no food.
"Sorry Misty, but I forgot to stock up on food when we left, but maybe we can find a river or something nearby." Ash suggests as he rubs his stomach showing he is also hungry.
"Fine, but once we do, I'm going to eat first since I'm the lady around here." Misty says rather arrogantly for some reason.
A few minutes later Ash and Misty walk farther down the road, before suddenly, Ash is wacked in the face by a flying newspaper. Ash quickly takes the newspaper off of his face and then spies an interesting article.
"Hey Misty, check this out!" Ash calls and Misty runs over to see a strange blacked out picture of a strange creature, possibly due to the shot being taken at night as shown by the cresset moon in the picture. "It says that there is something called 'the Prince of the Sea' that has been seen in a nearby lake. Hmm maybe I could catch it and have it become my new Poke-"
"Heck with that! I'm the future water Pokemon Master! If it's the Prince of the Sea, then it means I'll be the one to capture it!" Misty cheers and runs into the woods with Ash quickly following, leaving the newspaper behind. As the newspaper falls to the ground, the rest of the article is bathed in sunlight, revealing the rest of the story.
"It is unknown what all this Pokemon can do exactly, but people have claimed to have temporarily had their body switched. Until more is known about this Pokemon, it is advised to keep your distance to prevent anything from happening to you." As the newspaper flies away in the wind, Ash and Misty have arrived at the lake.
"Whoa this lake is so...so..." Ash stutters for words as he sees before him a beautiful lake.
"Beautiful!" Misty says, finishing Ash's sentence. "No wonder a Pokemon called the Prince of the Sea would come here."
"Well then..." Ash removes his shirt and pants before he runs head first into the lake and begins to search for the mysterious Pokemon from the newspaper with Pikachu staying on ground to avoid shocking him because of the fact that water conducts electricity. Misty soon joins suit though stays in the shallow parts so that she can make sure nothing happens to their stuff.
After a few minutes of searching, Misty decides to give up and get out of the water and begins to make a fire so as to warm up. She lights one and begins to sit by it with Pikachu, all the while wondering if this so called ‘Prince of the Sea’ actually exists. And for that matter she hasn’t seen Ash in forever since he dived down into the lake.
“Oh no.” Misty gasps upon realization. She has developed a crush on Ash, although she herself has yet to realize it. “What if he drowned? No! No! No!” Misty begins to panic, and then runs back towards the lake, but stops soon when she sees something surface with something even smaller in its arms. “Ash!” Misty calls, almost in a cry, as she wipes the tears from her eyes. Ash comes to shore and then shows Misty what he found.
“Hey Misty look what I got!” Ash calls as he warms up against the fire with something sleeping in his arms possibly a Pokemon.
“Is that…?” Misty begins.
“Yes it is Misty! I know it is!” Ash replies as the small creature in his arms begins to rouse. The creature is surprised to be out of water, and to be in the arms of a stranger, so it panics and begins to scream. Ash and Misty cover their ears, making Ash drop the Pokemon. The Pokemon continues to cry and then the two tentacle-like appendages on its head glow with a red aura that sends out a beam of light that bathes Misty and Ash in a glow. The two run away in fear, in order to get what they would think would be a safe distance away, unknowing of what just happened to them as a pink heart comes out of both and goes into the other as the Pokemon flies away, neither trainer knowing what happened exactly.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
