A large robotic dog leaps out and attacks them

A large and dark shape burst forth, head butting Guilmon in the chest and knocking Megaman down with it's tail. Renamon dashed forward, teleported behind it, launching a flurry of sharp diamonds at the base of the creatures neck. It stumbled to the ground and thrashed a bit. But quickly got up again and faced them. Guilmon and Megaman had gotten back to their feet and where ready to counter attack when the robot defender raised it's head then spewed fire at them. As they dodged the flame Megaman noticed sparks emitting from it's neck where Renamon had attacked it.

As it tried to train Renamon and Guilmon's movements Megaman took aim and shot it in the neck. The hit penetrated and a large explosion ripped through it, breaking it apart. Guilmon and Renamon brushed soot from their fur while Megaman entered the room, checking for more reaverbots. As he returned Renamon and Guilmon had gathered up the large number of scattered refractor crystals and deposited them in Guilmons backpack. "Okay the areas clear, we're almost there."

As they entered the tower Guilmon and Renamon where awestruck by the scale and complexity of the architecture. On the outside the building was simplicity itself, a plain if impressive tower. On the inside however the ceramic material had been crafted into rooms and pathways around the inside of the tower creating a dizzying effect when looked at from below. A lite almost ethereal wind blew throughout, playing a soft tune as it blew up along the center of the tower.

Megaman called them over to where he was standing on a small platform with another panel beside to it. As they reached him he pressed a few buttons and they began to descend. As the floor rose up level to them Renamon turned to Megaman and asked "So how far do we have to go down?" Megaman glanced at the panel for a second. "Not far, we should be there in a moment. And according to that thing there should be a control panel or something in the same room. You can find directions to the machine you seek.

The lift they were standing on slowed to a halt and a pair of doors opened in front of them. As they stepped out they were again rendered speechless by what they saw.
