Sophie shook her head as soon as Julie was out of sight. As tempting as eating Julie felt right now, some part of her knew that it was wrong. Besides, Sophie figured, it was just a weird thought that popped into her head because she was so hungry, right? Putting some food in her belly should sort everything right out.
Sophie immediately ran back into the kitchen, and noticed the large pile of waffles that Julie had made. Julie always made a lot of waffles when she came over; it was one of the reasons why the two girls had plumped up so much lately. Not even bothering to get her own serving plate, Sophie instead grabbed a nearby container of syrup, and emptied its entire contents on top of the waffle stack, before digging in with her bare hands. The waffles tasted fantastic, like they usually did.
While Sophie demolished the waffle stack, her ears registered some sounds that were coming from upstairs, such as the shower turning on, turning off, and the distinctive, trilling ringtone of Julie's cell phone. Such concerns were secondary to the task in front of her though.
Eventually, Sophie was finished, a load of crumbs and syrup residue on her face and shirt. Said shirt was now riding up her expanded stomach, which was now sitting heavily in her lap, filled with the remains of breakfast. Fortunately, it looked like that odd feeling was gone for now as well, buried under an avalanche of waffles and syrup. Sophie attempted to get up, but after two tried, decided that her heavier gut made it not worth it. Instead, she leaned back, reveling in the fullness.
"Well, looks like someone was hungry!" Julie said as she entered the kitchen. She poked Sophie's stomach, causing Sophie to giggle a little.
"I was really hungry. Sorry that I didn't leave any for you," Sophie mumbled.
"It's fine. I already had my fill," Julie replied, grabbing the plate that the waffles had been stacked on and bringing it to the sink to wash it out.
"So anyway, my sister Janet just called," Julie said...
