For practically her entire life, she'd been molding herself and her body to fit the expectations of others. The society she'd grown up in had told her that she needed to be thin, and so she had worked herself to the bone to make herself thin. All the while, she'd sneered at those who were heavier than her while secretly envying their softness.
But as one slice of cheesecake turned into two, Gwen knew that something had changed; she was now rich beyond her wildest dreams. And the rules of the common masses didn't apply to the rich, did they? With her gluttony now properly rationalized, Gwen proceeded to polish off the rest of the cheesecake, and then she started in on the the donuts. Once those were gone, she moved on to the cinnamon rolls, and so on and so forth.
As she continued with her binge, the first real binge that she'd ever had, Gwen came to realize just how talented the bakers she'd had working for her were. She went through a lot of flavors as she methodically demolished every pastry, cake, and pie in the store, and they were all delicious. Maybe she could hire one or two of them on as private bakers to make delicious treats for her every day? That sounded like a good way to use some of that money, she decided.
Soon, though, the front of the bakery was stripped clean. Gwen licked some remaining chocolate residue from her fingertips, and surveyed herself. Her formerly pristine baker's uniform was now stained with a variety of chocolates, jams, and sugars of the sweets that she'd just eaten. The buttons were also strained almost to the breaking point, trying to keep the uniform buttoned around Gwen's body. Her belly had bloated out quite severely due to how much food she'd packed into her stomach, and Gwen could probably pass for being pregnant if she'd wanted to.
The former bakery shop owner patted her engorged middle, and frowned. Gwen had just eaten more than she ever had at any point in her life. But somehow, she knew that she wasn't truly full. Not yet. She needed more food to stuff into her already overtaxed stomach, and yet the bakery was now devoid of food.
Gwen was pondering how to go about solving this dilemma, when all of a sudden...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
