Her hidden weakness

Sophie was disturbed by just how un-disturbing it was to watch her best friend eat. But Julie was too scrawny....she needed some extra padding, a few doughy curves, a little.......... Calmly, she strode into the kitchen and flung open the top cupboard doors. A row of neatly-arranged snack cake boxes beamed down at her.
Julie, lazily reclined on the sofa, didn't notice Sophie tip-toeing into the room. Her feet wiggled with carefree pleasure and her flat stomach strained as she savored each forkful that passed her lips. Out of the shadowy hall stepped Sophie.
"What'cha got there?" Julie looked over her shoulder and saw a chubby belly standing ominously over her.
"...I don't have any more waffles, but we can still eat these." Sophie's voice sounded strange.
An armful of snack cake boxes plopped onto the coffee table, right beside Julie's feet which were reclined against the edge. Julie looked at the KING-SIZE labeled boxes with some uneasiness.
"Wow. Those look....SUGARY." she blurted out. A pile of shrink-wrapped brownies and pink sponge cakes tumbled outward.
"I know. Don't they just make you want to obliterate them?" Sophie lifted a swiss roll up to her chin and smelled them, giggling. Julie smacked her lips and watched Sophie seductively peel open the plastic.
"Mm... Saturated fat."
"Mm... Cream filling." Julie looked as if she were about to melt.
"Have one." Sophie licked her chocolate-coated lips messily.
"But..." Julie's cheeks bulged as a burp escaped her mouth. She glanced down at her navel with a queasy look of distaste; With each breath she took, her stomach expanded and contracted ominously.
Sophie wolfed down another roll. Julie reached down and peeled open a pink frosted twinkie. Her lips parted. With a dainty finger, she smooshed the entire thing inside her mouth. Before either girl knew it, another snack cake was entering their lips, followed by another...
