Jimmy notices her shadow come upon them one more time. This time, she places a twig on top of the ant’s hind legs trapping it and reaches to grab onto Jimmy. Before he can respond, two fingers wrap around his torso and hoist him into the air. A third finger brushes off his little sword as if it were a toothpick. Jimmy couldn’t see that she grabbed it with her other hand and pocketed it for safe-keeping.
She drops him onto her other palm and brings him to her face. He looked in horror at the giant girl in front of him. He had horror many stories, where this was the end for people like him.
“Hello, I don’t think I officially introduced myself,” she brakes the silence with. “My name is Victoria.”
Jimmy stands there, too afraid to talk.
After a few seconds Victoria tries to soothe, unaware how piercing her voice is for him: “Not the talkative type I see. Well, riding an ant like that was really impressive. Plus, you’re little escapades have shown me that you’re not exactly safe in this grass alone. I can’t leave you alone like this. When you’re ready, I would love to learn a little more about you. I’d love to see what other tricks you have on your sleave. You’re going to love my home.”
Keeping Jimmy in her open palm, Victoria begins to walk away. Where does she go?
