There's a flash of light and then... Nothing. To an outside observer, you do not appear to have moved at all. However, the teleporter was not a complete failure. It turned out you had drastically underestimated how much energy it would need to teleport a complete person. Instead it was only able to teleport a small portion of your mass. And since it was still trying to teleport -you-, it settled on a very important part to teleport. Across from your pod, sitting on your thinking chair is...
