Chapter #6

He noticed Boa Handcock

    by: Snoopy Author IconMail Icon

As Luffy pushed deeper into the dense jungle, leaping over roots and ducking under hanging vines, the strange aura grew stronger—almost familiar, yet still hard to place.

Suddenly, with a loud "THUD!", he crashed headfirst into someone standing in the clearing ahead.

"Oww...!" he groaned, rubbing his forehead.
The figure he bumped into barely moved, her presence towering with elegance and strength.

"You reckless fool..." came a familiar, sharp but sultry voice.

Luffy looked up, blinking in surprise. "Huh? Hancock?! What are you doing here?"

There, standing in the sunlight filtering through the trees, was Boa Hancock, arms crossed and eyes narrowed—but with the slightest blush creeping across her face.

"L-Luffy!" she stammered, suddenly flustered. "Of all the people to crash into me… it had to be you." She turned away dramatically, cape fluttering behind her. "But of course, I forgive you! I always will!"

Luffy just tilted his head. "Wait... why are you on this island?"

Boa Hancock composed herself, then turned back to face Luffy, the usual regal pride returning to her voice.

"I came here because of a report from one of my scouts," she explained, her expression now serious. "There’s something strange buried deep within this island—an ancient relic that’s said to pulse with immense power. Pirates, warlords, even the World Government might be after it."

She stepped closer, her eyes narrowing.
"I couldn’t ignore it… especially after hearing rumors that it might be connected to the Void Century. I had to investigate before it fell into the wrong hands."

Luffy blinked.
"Void Century…? That’s the stuff Robin’s always looking into."

Hancock gave a small nod.
"Exactly. And if it’s tied to that lost history, then it’s dangerous."
She hesitated, then softened. "But now that you're here, Luffy, everything will be fine. We’ll handle this—together."

Just then, the ground trembled slightly beneath them, and a distant, guttural roar echoed through the jungle.

Luffy grinned.
"Heh… sounds like an adventure!" All of a sudden Luffy's stomach began to growl, "boy I can get something to eat", Well don't worry I gave tones of food with me actually.
All of a sudden, Luffy's stomach let out a loud, rumbling growl that echoed almost as fiercely as the roar in the distance.

"Ughhh, man... I could really go for something to eat right now," he groaned, clutching his stomach dramatically.
"Fighting ancient relic monsters or whatever on an empty stomach just isn’t fair!"

Boa Hancock giggled softly, the serious air from moments ago melting away as she watched him with hearts in her eyes.

"Oh, Luffy… don’t worry. I brought tons of food with me, actually."
She snapped her fingers, and from the nearby trees, two of her Kuja warriors emerged carrying large satchels overflowing with fruits, bread, meat, and even fresh water.

Luffy’s eyes sparkled.
"WHOA! For real?! You’re the best, Hancock!"
Without hesitation, he dove headfirst into the food pile, stuffing his face with meat and rice balls like he hadn’t eaten in days.

Hancock sighed dreamily, clasping her hands to her chest as hearts floated around her.
"He called me the best… One day, I will be the best wife for him. I’ll cook endless meals just for him and only him… I’ll sacrifice anything, give up everything, just to see him smile."

She gazed off into the jungle sky, lost in her fantasy.

But unbeknownst to her, Luffy—while still munching on a giant turkey leg—had paused. He tilted his head slightly, blinking as her words drifted into his ears.

"Huh…?" he muttered, cheeks a little red.
For once, he didn’t laugh it off. Instead, he just… smiled—softly.

"That's… kinda nice," he mumbled under his breath, rubbing the back of his neck, clearly unsure what to make of the warm, fluttery feeling in his chest.

Boa Hancock hadn't noticed his reaction—yet—but something had clearly shifted. Luffy, though still his carefree self, looked at her for just a second longer than usual.

But before the moment could deepen, the trees ahead suddenly snapped apart—something massive was approaching.
