Chapter #7

Something grabs Tom

There is a low rumble of a animal and Tom turns around. A shadow comes through the door and Tom is pulled back. The door slams shut behind him as the room feels cold.
You try to move but the pain is to great.. You hear a crash of something and then another.
"What the hell are.."You hear Tom yell before there is another crash.
You hear a few frantic steps onto the stairs and then a pause before you hear Tom scream as he is thrown through the air. The walls shake as Tom strikes the wall next to the back room door.
"Stop, Stop" you hear Tom plea before he is thrown to the floor.
Tom scampers to the door handle and pulls on the door. You can see his boots outside the door then a shadow.
You hear Tom scream.Then the scream become muffled as Tom begins to gurgle and choke.
You hear loud snaps of bones cracking and popping. As the creature begins to crush Tom the floor becomes littered with a pool of blood.
There is a sudden light and a blast of heat before the entire house goes dark.

A few minutes pass then the light to the back room comes on. You lay there and only hear silence. Slowly, despite the pain you manage to get to your feet and open the door.
