Finding the lab assistants seemed to be the best idea. After all, they were supposed to deal with things happening in the lab. So Princess started looking around the lab. Unfortunately for her efforts, there were so many things to distract her, so many mysteries to wonder about [like what was a copy of the Kama Sutra doing in the lab? And why was it filed under operator manuals?]
But finally she heard some gasping from behind a door. Fearing somebody may be in trouble, she opened it. Inside she found two of the missing lab assistants, and realized some terrible attack had indeed happened to the poor girls. Their clothing had been almost completely torn off by something that must have been in some sort of frenzy. They had clearly tried to stop it. The bra clutched by one of them showed that. But they had only managed to drive whatever it had been off. Now one of them was giving the other mouth to mouth resuscitation, tho Princess had a hard time deciding which one was being resuscitated. Was it possible for each to resuscitate the other?
Princess didn't really remember all that much about resuscitation. [The boy in the next seat at the class had been kind of cute, and his hand caressing her hip had been distracting, if hardly unwelcome. {That had not been sex of course. He was just checking to see if she was fully following the school dress code and since the teacher insisted on eyes front, he had to use touch to verify that.}] Still, she wondered if the girl was doing it right.
You locked lips to breathe air into the victim, right? But weren't you supposed to unlock now and then to get fresh air? And wasn't the rule to pump the chest? Not caress the breast? Not to mention that Princess could not see any life-saving purpose to the large sausage that was being held with an end at the apex of each girl's thighs. Possibly it was there to keep them awake. It was certainly causing them to move their hips.
But where was the monster that had attacked them? Not a sign of it. No, there was a broken gas container. Her father used a lot of them to hold essences of plants. Having good eyes, princess can read the large label even at a distance. ...Essence of Damiana... Warning, extreme aphrodisiac effects if breathed...
Aphrodisiac? Now what did that mean? Somebody interested in Africa? Or maybe really liked a special haircut? Well, it didn't matter. Obviously the monster had broken it. Father had so often praised the skill of his assistants. They couldn't have carelessly dropped the container and then breathed any fumes. so it must have been the monster.
But where is the monster? And should she try to find it? That was going to be dangerous, but not knowing where it had gone was dangerous too. On the other hand, maybe the lab assistants might need help with their artificial respiration. Of course, as enthusiastic as they are, they may resent any advice on how to do it better.
