“We can’t waste our auxiliary power now”, you scream. “We ride it out!”

As you finish your last word, the shaking worsens.

“Shields at zero percent...hull pressure at one-hundred-and-ten percent”, Buck yells.

Electrical fires erupt from the control panels accompanied by smoke. Another shake slams Medical Officer Cook’s head into her console. She appears to be unconscious.

“Warning, warning”, the computer announces. “Ship at critical levels of exposure.”

“Ok”, you relent. “Start up the auxiliary power and redirect it to the shields!”

A thundering explosion throws the ship head over heels. As the hull starts failing, you hear what sounds like a loud moan. You realise it is the hull that is cracking.

“Warning, warning, hull at one-hundred-and-forty percent capacity...shields deactivated...auxiliary power source compromised...”

‘Compromised?’ you think to yourself...‘what the hell does that mean.’

“I don’t think we’re gonna make it”, is the last thing you hear Buck scream before you’re consumed in a ball of fire.
