As soon as it stops you attempt to free yourself, but you make no progress before the bird leans down and puts you in it's beak. You are suspended, held by the beak for only a moment. The bird jolts it's head and tosses you into the beak. Its tongue assists you on your trip toward the throat, and as you slide backward the bird tilts it's head backward to help swallow. It gulps once bringing you into your waist, your tiny legs still visible to the outside world. But, one more gulp gives the throat muscles control and you are slowly bobbed deeper into the bird. After a few moments you slide into a sack like area. You know this to be the crop of the bird, where it stores it's food before digestion. This means you are nothing more than a meal waiting for final processing. This area is completely empty and you can feel the small movements of the bird. Without warning you are thrown to the back of the crop as the bird takes flight. You are tossed about in the crop for awhile before the bird lands and lays down. You know whats coming next. Because the crop was so empty, you know you are next in line for the processing chamber, the gizzard. The gizzard has two parts, one that secretes digestive juices and rubs it over food before sending it to the next chamber where it is mechanistically grounded down.
