A story for the men of Sacred Heart Hospital to start filling out their scrubs.

This choice: ...J.D decides to go for a jog.  •  Go Back...
Chapter #7

Mornings and McMuffins

    by: Unknown
As Elliot rolled off him, the stuffed and drowsy J.D made a promise to himself to get up early tomorrow and go for a jog. This new gut wasn't going to get rid of itself, and he'd have to work extra hard to work off that pizza. His alarm was already set, so everything would be fine...

However, when J.D woke up the next morning, it wasn't at the crack of dawn like he'd planned, rather the stroke of ten o'clock. He groaned as he looked at the clock. How had he slept through the alarm?

"Maybe all that food put me in a deeper coma than I thought," he reasoned, reaching out a hand and feeling Elliot's side of the bed was empty. "Ok, I have work at twelve, with Elliot gone I can still skip breakfast, go for a quick run and then shower at the hospital."

Suddenly, the toilet flushed, and J.D realised he wasn't alone after all. Elliot emerged from the bathroom, dressed in track pants and a sweat-stained tank-top.

"Morning sleepyhead!" she said cheerily. "You looked so peaceful, so I snuck out for a quick run. Plus, I figured you could use the rest after last nights 'exertions'..."

As far as J.D could remember, he had just lay on his back, trying not to puke while Elliot gyrated on top of him. But this was still salvageable, a light breakfast with Elliot and he could use the gym at work."

"...And continuing my run as best girlfriend ever..." Elliot smiled, walking to the bedroom door and opening it, "I picked up breakfast."

J.D smiled, but inside he was fearing the worst, and after getting dressed and a quick trip to the bathroom, his fears were confirmed. A brown bag with the familiar golden arches was sitting on the counter, next to a large pink box of donuts. Beside them was a glass of water, and a small green pill.

J.D grabbed the pill and swallowed it down, ("At least I'll have one healthy thing this morning." he thought.), looking over at Elliot, who was sitting on the couch with a box salad and an Egg McMuffin. J.D peeked inside the bag and saw three, no four more McMuffins, along with two large fries and two McGriddles. Salty, greasy food usually turned J.D's stomach this early in the morning... but suddenly his stomach was growling, and his mouth watering. Before he knew it, he had reached into the bag and grabbed two McMuffins, unwrapping them clumsily with one hand, grabbing a handful of fries with the other and cramming them into his mouth.

Over the next fifteen minutes, J.D demolished the entire bag of fast food, oblivious to everything else, even Elliot stripping off and heading for the shower, leaving her clothes strewn around the living room. When she returned, she found J.D sitting on the couch, his small potbelly swollen large with food, laying heavily on his lap, stretching his t-shirt. Elliot brought over the donuts and turned on the TV, leaving the box open on the coffee table. |Over the next forty minutes, J.D found his way to eating eleven of the frosted pastries, leaving one lightly shrunken pink one for Elliot.

Soon it was time to head for the hospital, and a bloated J.D let Elliot drive, while he dozed in the passenger seat. Once he got to the locker room, the combination of loose scrubs and labcoat again made him feel better, and he even got a candy bar from the vending machine on his way to his first patient's room.

"It's not that bad," he thought munching on a particularly crunchy piece of nougat, "You were just hungry, everyone deserves a day or two of gluttony once in a while. And Elliot doesn't seem to mind, judging by last night." He smiled and drifted off, thinking about how sexy she had looked in those black lacy panties. And subconsciously, about how delicious and cheesy that pizza had been.

"Florence!" the sharp bark of Doctor Cox interrupted his inner monologue, and knocked all thoughts of dieting out of his head. By lunch, he was hungry again and eager for more food, and Elliot was waiting for him with a smile and a little green pill.
