Mary is a bit confused at what she sees at her feet, the tiny bug isn't moving away from her, its coming towards her? She'd never seen something like this before, bugs are usually rather scared of people after all. This one slowly, but surely was walking right up to her left foot, her sneaker over shadowing the thing.

You were sprinting as quickly as you could knowing if you took to long the girl would simply lose interest and move on. However, just getting to the side of her shoe was exhausting, but as you reaching the rubber wall making up the sole of her shoe you lean into it catching your breath.
Her attention was certainly on you now, a bug seemly putting itself into danger like that, looking to get attention from a being so much larger then it. It must of been a bit weird to see. However, you'd need to show you were more then some curious little thing by her feet somehow.
