This choice: Stay inside and watch a movie • Go Back... Princess didn't really feel like going outside so soon after getting her big breakfast meal. So with wobbling belly that swayed with every step, she headed into the living room and laid down on her side on the rug.
"I guess that solves that question for us." James said with a grin, grabbing his own plate and headed into the living room to turn on the TV and start going through the movies. He read off a few to Princess, not really expecting an answer from her, and he didn't get one. Finally he came across the old films, and an original copy of the movie Charolottes Web. With a laugh James commented that he hadn't seen it in ages, and that Templeton reminded him of the greedy rotty.
'sure, whatever.' Princess thought to herself as she licked the last of the grease and salt off her lips as James put the video in and settled down next to her, lightly petting and scratching over her belly with his fingers. For some reason it just felt so much better when he did it than when Mr. and Mrs. Tedurani did. He always seemed to casual with it, hitting all the spots she wished without ever meaning to. With a groan, she got up into a sitting position and then flopped over the other way, so that her head rested in his lap, her brown eyes looking up to him with love and adoration, while he just enjoyed his movie.
Soon, the movie was over, and Princess was snoring on James' lap, her eyes having gotten heavy as she rested, but her subconscious had been working the whole time, hearing all the references to food during the famous Templeton Fair Scene. Something about it clicked with her inner most self, a part of her that she had been granted while staying in the stark white lab, with the men who injected her with all sorts of things, the most prominant was a sort of chemical that they thought would help underfed and malnourished dogs put weight back on. It had been a failed experiment at the time, but they did not realize that all that was needed was proper stimuli.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
