May waddled over to Prof. Birch's lab as quickly as her legs would allow.
It had been awhile since she'd seen the Professor despite her staying in Littleroot Town for the past few months on vacation from contesting.
During her vacation May had packed on serious pounds, becoming much larger, especially in her mid and upper body. Still May wasn't too worried. She had always been a big eater and would shed her excess bulk when she got off vacation...Which was whenever she felt like it. In the mean time Birch had received Pokemon from Juniper in Unova and had promised May one.
"I wonder if I'll get the same one as Ash." May said aloud before she got to the lab.
"Oh May, you got here early." Birch said. "How're your Pokemon?"
"They're well, and excited that we get a new friend!" May said cheerily, her plump face brimming with joy.
"I bet you are too!" the professor laughed. "At any rate here is your new Pokemon..."
