Jake starts walking quickly in the direction of his house, causing Ramone to practically run to keep up.
"Jake! Jake, slow down!" The child didn't comply, ignoring him completely. "Are you mad me or something?"
"What do you think?!" Jake replied, turning around sharply. "You were trying to escape, weren't you?" Ramone just stood there, not answering. The sight of having a 10 foot child angry at him had the teen a little afraid. "Yeah, that's what I thought." He began walking away again, leaving Ramone behind.
"At least let me explain!" he said, running up to Jake again. The boy stopped, turning around, folding his massive arms in front of his chest. He glared down at Ramone.
"Okay," Ramone said. "I know you're mad at me. But, you have to understand, I have a family and friends where I'm from. I even have a girlfriend. Those people probably miss me."
"And you couldn't just ask me to help you? You had to just run off, without even an explanation?!"
"I know, I know," the teen said. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?"
"Just leave me alone," Jake said, storming off. "I don't care if you leave now. I really don't. If you DO go back to my house, tell mom I'll be back in a few hours."
"Jake wait a minute," Ramone said, running up to him once more. "Just tell me what--"
"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!'!" Jake turns around and shoves Ramone, sending him flying into the air, landing about 50 yards away on the shore.
"There!" the child yelled at him, pointing a little to Ramone's right. "There's your stupid boat! Now go!"
Ramone groaned as he looked and saw his canoe lying in the sand a little ways from him. He then saw Jake run and leap into the air, arching high in the sky, before hurdling back to the earth a few miles away. Ramone felt the rumble caused by the giant child when he landed.
He walked over to his canoe to inspect it, his chest sore where he had been shoved, a large welt forming, along with a bruise. Ramone winced as he bent down to look at the damage. Even if he wanted to try to get away, he still had to repair the large hole in the side of his boat.
He started walking, clutching his chest as he walked.
