Sally Jones had always looked back at that night with the creature she believed to be Batman, even though her father would never admit it, as a start of a new life. She didn't know what Batman would want with her father, it must have had something to do with his mysteries job. But what ever it was things changed for the father and daughter, because the next morning a police car drove up with the man she knew from the newspapers to be Commissioner Gordon. And when Sally asked her father what he was doing there he told her that he was just helping the police stop some bad guys. But she didn't no if she believed him because of the angry look Gordon gave him as he got into the car. He then drove away with her father who didn't return until night time.
The next morning he told her to go pack and that they leaving because he had gotten a new job. She was amazed at this because her father almost never let her left their massive swamp and the forest around it and it scared her as well as excited her. She sat on the suit case on her bed and said to her father "Daddy I will only leave on two conditions. First you tell me what this new job is. And second you must promise me you will never leave me again!" Waylon looked kindly at his croc like daughter who reminded him so much of her mother. He then got his massive body on one knee and then looking at his little girl who had her mother's green eyes and dark red hair and said "Sally I promise you I will never leave you again. And as for my new job Bruce Wayne offered me the spot as the care taker for one of his private wild life reserves outside of Jump City." Here this Sally throw her arms around her father, crying tears of happiness.
The move to her new home was the start of a whole new life for her, her father, and Father Bryan who came with them. Once there both of the men seemed happier, like some great weight was lifted off their shoulders. Her father even got them cable TV and an internet connection for the house, and she even got to go to the local school. At first the other students picked on her because of her looks but she soon earned some friends after she beat up a bully twice her size. And once more life was good for Wyalon Jones and his family.
That was until one night 6 years later. Sally was doing her homework when she heard what sounded like cars coming down the dirt high road to their house. She looked out her window and saw three SUVs parked right outside, then she watched something that made her blood run cold. Stepping out of the largest of three was a man that she had only seen in newspapers. Bane.
Not knowing what was going on she was getting ready to and fight the intruders when her father came running into her room. "Dad what the hell is Bane doing here?" "Sally I promise I will tell you everything latter but first you must take Father Bryan and run into the woods." "WHAT?!" "SHHHH!" Sally then lowered her voice to a whisper as her father lead her down the stares to the back door. "Dad there is no way I am letting you face Bane alone!" "Sally I don't have time for this! Father Bryan needs you now, he is 95 years old and needs you to protect him from those thugs." "Fine! But after this I want real answers Dad!" "And I will give them! For now just run!" And with that Waylon pushed his stubborn 16 year old daughter out the door were the ancient priest was waiting.
Sally then led the aging priest up the hill behind their house were they were able to hide in the undergrowth. Father Bryan tried to make the young woman leave but Sally refused to move. She watched as her father walked out of the house unarmed, and all of Bane's men had their guns pointed at him. Bane laughed at this and waved to his men to lower their weapons, then said in his thick Mexican accent "I see you got my message Killer Croc! I knew threatening your daughter would get you to face me old enemy!" "I am still shocked that you cared for me so much that after 6 years you would track me down!" Her father in his monster like voice taunted back. "The last time you and I fought not only did you almost kill me, you called me a lier for claiming to be the strongest man in Gotham! Then you sold me out to the Bat!" Bane called back. "You know Bane if I remember right I said that it was the Venom that strong and you just stoled the credit! And I still know that to be true!" Her father fired back. "For a man who is about to die you should be begging more!" Yelled Bane. "The only differences would be I would die on my knees." "And now you will die in the mud!" And with that Bane charge at his old rival, getting larger with every steep as the venom pumped into his blood. Killer Croc was able to get out of the way just in time as Bane went crashing into their house. Not believing he was dead, despite the gapping hole in his house Killer Croc grabbed a piece of wood that had landed near his feet and charged into the ruins. Using the plank he beat the much larger man in the head over and over until the giant knocked him out of the house and into one of the SUVs. Thanks to his thick bones and skin, Killer Croc was able to survive the blow which would have left other men crippled or even dead.
Dazed but not out Killer Croc got back to his feet as he got read for Banes next attack. Bane came flying out of the wreckage, his face blooded from were her father had hit him with the plank. Sally then watched as Bane came running at her father like freight train. Croc had just come to his sencess when Bane throw a massive punch, luckily he had just got out of the way and so all Bane got was a fist full of glass as he punched the SUV's window. Seeing that his opponent was now stuck, Killer Croc did his most famous move. He jumped on the giant's back and bit him on the shoulder. Hard. Even though he couldn't get his mouth around the entire shoulder, Killer Croc with his knife like teeth was still able to draw a great deal of blood and make Bane scream in agony.
While unsure of why all of this was happening on Laura silently cheered for her father as he fault bravely to defend his home and family from the intruder.
