“Andrew, hey” you heard a voice call out. You all turned around and saw your best friend Matt walking towards you with his younger brother Ben who was Brad’s age, and his Dad Tony as well. Matt was a tall guy, far taller than you, blonde and blue eyed and loved sports, far more than you did but was always a joker. He must have gotten it from his Dad who was just like him: tall, blonde and blue eyed, and muscular, just like your Dad. They went to the gym together a far bit after hitting it off when you first became friends with Matt at school. Ben on the other hand was a brown haired, slim and quiet boy who loved comic books and video games, just like Brad and so they were close friends as well. You opened your mouth to respond to Matt’s call but then you remembered you were in your Dad’s body, not your own. You looked over at Brad and nodded at him to say hello.
“Oh hey Matt” he said, nervously. Your dad and brother walked over to you as well, looking apprehensive at trying to be each other and not give anything away. “What are we going to do?” he asked.
“Just pretend to be each other and don’t mess it up” you said. Attempting to set the example, you walked over to Tony and shook his hand, as your dad would have done. “Hey Tony, how’s it going?”
“Yeah not bad Michael, just taking the boys out to the park while the wife is out for the day. You?” Tony asked.
“Yeah I had the same thinking” you said. You looked over at your Dad and Brad. Both were smiling and doing their best to pretend to be who Matt and Ben thought they were. You continued chatting to Tony about work and your mutual hobbies of fishing and going to the gym but as the conversation went on, Tony looked suspicious of you, he could tell that “Michael” was acting weird, not knowing details about the different types of lures he used when fishing, or the types of exercises they usually did together at the gym. You weren’t the only one. Matt was trying to talk to “Andrew” about school teachers and girls at school and your Dad had no idea who he was talking about, while “Brad” had no idea about the various comic book characters that Ben kept trying to talk to him about.
“What’s going on mate? You’re a bit off today, is everything ok?” Tony asked.
