You’re actually going to do it?” asked Melanie Zimmer, Gregor Talbin’s personal assistant.
“I took the time off, didn’t I?” responded Jason Edison, a sales rep at Talbincorp. “Talbin disappears for one week every three months, like clockwork. Like, fully vanishes. The man can’t order takeout without your help. You can’t say that you’re not curious what he gets up to.”
“Of course I’m curious,” responded Melanie. “But you can get in big trouble for this. Stalking the head of the company?”
“I won’t do anything illegal. Besides, they’ll never catch me. I've got it all planned out. I'm going to keep my distance. Never less than 100 yards away from the old man. When he moves, I will know and I'll be able to find him while keeping a safe distance. It's perfect.”
Jason had been planning this for a while. He left his small mansion on Friday afternoon and returned to the office on Mondays. Jason knew that Gregor didn’t fly anywhere on his private jet, that would be easy to track. There was no social media presence, no bills, nothing. Melanie had told him that there were no credit card charges, but his personal account was debited an amount ranging from $2,000 to $100,000 two weeks after every disappearance. Gregor made up the work, but Jason was dying to know where he disappeared to. He didn't have any plans for good or ill, he just wanted to know. Little did he realize just what he was gettting himself into. Because Gregor Talbin didn't disappear. He transformed using a magic medallion, a medallion Jason would come to get very familiar with.
