"Urk… What happened to me?" Sasuke muttered as his eyes slowly opened. All around him was darkness with only small slivers of light. He tried to stand only to realize he had no room to do so. Just where in the world was he? From what he could make out through the slivers of light he was being pinned by some sort of soft and moist ceiling.
That was odd. He tried to recall what happened to him only for his mind to go blank. That annoyed him to no end. For the life of him he just couldn't remember. The last thing he could recall was Kabuto sending him out on some sort of task for Orochimaru. After that... Nothing.
The more Sasuke tried to desperately recall what led up to his current situation, the more frustrated he became. After taking a moment to compose himself, he decided to find a way out of his narrow prison before figuring out the rest. Channeling chakra into his hand he released a burst of electricity at the ceiling with no effect.
That wasn't right. Whatever his lightning hit it destroyed. Targets weren't supposed to remain in tact. Sasuke tried again but was met with a different result. Instead of blowing the moist ceiling apart like he'd hoped, he felt his entire world rise up. "What's going on out there!"
No words greeted Sasuke. Instead he was met by the winds of rapid descent. The Uchiha prodigy felt his prison violently slam down. If not for the soft ceiling and equally soft ground he'd be crushed into a paste. This wasn't good. He needed out. He needed freedom from... Wherever the hell he was.
Activating his Sharingan, Sasuke began to crawl toward the light. As he did he bean to notice just how moist and squishy his prison really was. Had one of Orochimaru's snakes swallowed him? If so then the Sannin was dead the next time he saw him. The linger stench wasn't helping to calm him down either.
After what felt like an eternity, Sasuke finally managed to reach the light. He poked his head through the opening and was immediately assaulted by hot and smelly air. That was soon followed by the near blinding light of the sun. Sasuke tried to move the rest of his body but found himself unable to get free.
"Damn it!" he cursed. All he could do was take in the sight of the squishy platform beneath him and the two long pillars on either side of him. Apparently they were a part of the ceiling that was pressing him down. Just where in the hell was he?!
"So you're finally awake now?" A voice called from above.
Startled, Sasuke craned his neck toward the source... And his eyes widened.
