"Ahh, another mountain of paperwork done.. There will be another one by next week but at least it feels good when you finally finish them" Shizune muttered to herself, happy with another day of hard work completed as she remained with her feet on the table, ignoring Naruto's plight that was still in danger of being completely squished the moment Shizune set her foot back on the floor.
Fortunately for him, all Shizune seemed to do after was just lay placidly there in her couch, which gave Naruto time to slowly recover and reach a safer place. All he needed to happen was for Shizune to move her foot slightly towards the sandal insole, that way he could have a surface to support himself and pull himself up. With his chakra somehow rendered ineffective it was a struggle to hold on, but his gamble worked and he finally could slowly put his feet on the sandal insole and "jump" to the safety of the space between Shizune's toes.
"Ugh.. I would be toast if it wasn't Shizune on paperwork duty" Naruto groaned, kicking a bit of dirt from the "floor" towards the abyss to distract himself from the shock of what he was seeing. When he was trapped between her toes he had enough trouble to fully appreciate the difference in sizes but from this new perspective.. he was scared. There he was, with two toes at both of his sides that were as big as buildings and moved slightly but menacingly, in a way Naruto doubted the Hokage's assistant registered at all because far, far away there was the blurry image of her face sleeping, like a living looming mountain in the horizon. And his path to reach it if so he wanted? Naruto blushed, looking past the sandals at the blurry kimono covering her figure.
But what else could he do? He couldn't just stay there between her toes, it was obvious Shizune was never going to hear him all the way from there. His only other option was doing something to catch her attention but without his reliable source of chakra his bravado to face the challenge wisely disappeared, after all he just managed to get out from life threatening danger coming from an action as simple as Shizune propping her feet on the table. But then again, if Shizune got up while he made the trek across her body.. it could also be fatal to him without his chakra.
He tried to tap into the chakra of the tailed beast inside him as a last resort, but that also failed. It gave him shivers, feeling so powerless after a life dedicated to become a shinobi, to pursue his dream of becoming a Hokage, after all those hard battles he won. But he had to make a decision now before the sleeping giantess made it for him.
