You suddenly felt a tingling sensation go through your face, and you blinked a couple of times before closing your eyes for about 10 seconds, when you opened them again...nothing seemed different from your point of view at first, except that your vision did seem slightly clearer.

At the moment, you had no way of knowing if it had worked.
