That night, after mom and dad are asleep you wake up Lilith.
"What d'you want?" Lilith asks, half asleep.
"I want you to show me the Princess," you say.
"What?" she asks, fully awake now.
"I want you to take me to the castle so I can see the Princess." Your sister gives you that 'you really are a moron aren't you?' look you know all to well.
"Why do you want to see the Princess?" she asks, sitting up.
"So that I know what she looks like when I go to the castle tomorrow."
"You don't need to know what she looks like, Lucas. The king is going to tell who she is," Lilith says.
"Ah but if I guess who the Princess is that'll say something," you say. You are pleased to see that Lilith is getting out of bed. "What? We're not sure, but it'll say something."
"Ha ha," you say as you follow her to the castle.
"I don't know excatly where she sleeps so it'll take a minute," Lilith says when you have reached the castle. You hide in the shadows of a large hedge, that outlines the gardens, waiting for Lilith to come back. Three gaurds are passing your hiding place, you take a step back. After they have left you put on a greatly detailed mask of a falcon. You use them whenever you enter a house, so no one knows who you are.
You feel a light tap on your shoulder. When you turn around you're face to face with a snarling fox.
"Don't do that Lilith. You know it freaks me out." Lilith lifts the fox mask to reveal a big grin. She becons you to follow, she never talks this close to a rich house you're about to steal from. You follow her to a wall where very few gaurds patrol. On the wall there are large vines reaching up to the windows.
"By now you'd think the bags would wise up to the fact the vines make it easier to climb." Lilith whispers and starts to climb.
"Bite your tough! They might figure it out," you whisper back. Once you get to the top Lilith points to a window to the right and move over so you can see.
"She's still awake." Lilith whispers.
When you look into the window you see the Princes combing her hair in front of her mirror, it looks like she's been doing it ever sine night began to fall. She has blonde hair that goes a little past her shoulders and, from the reflection in the mirror, sky blue eyes. She's beautiful.
"Ow!" you say, when Lilith jabs her finguers into your side.
"Aw. Luccy finds someone he like?" Lilith says, her grammer bad, as usual, "Now come on we gotta get back." You look in the window on more time. Princess Lida is getting up and looking at the window! She must have heard you!
"Lilith! Don't move!" You whisper fiercely. She freezes. Princess Lida is now frowning out the window. Don't see me, you silently pray, don't see me don't see please don't see me.
