Go fast, young man

Knowing that time was of the essence, Robert began sprinting as though his life depended on it. (Which it kinda did.) Erika had already opened the door leading inside and had just lifted one of her feet into the doorway. Robert knew he had to jump at the last second and pray that he could grab onto the back of her other boot and be lifted into the house with her. Then Erika started lifting her other boot, and Robert was just a few more feet away from the boot, Robert knew he was out of time and made the jump.
