Asleep curled up in a giant ball, she was mumbling something but it was hard to tell, from the doors. As he came closer he was able to make out some things.
“Felix helped e escape now.” Felix had to guess that this was if they escaped this place. “But he’s a human though.” “Wait, what? If we escaped together wouldn’t that mean that she wouldn’t need to worry about me being different then me? Unless…” Before Felix got into some other thoughts, Daniel said the truth about why, “Humans may destroy some things, but Felix is different. He’s not even strong enough to cut down a tree.”
“I should wake her up know, I can’t stay here too long,” Felix said as he walked over to Daniel’s arm shacking her. “Daniel time wake UP!” Daniel rolled over towards Felix, catching him off guard. As Felix thought Daniel was going to roll over and crush him, she instead grabbed him from midair and hugged him, like a teddy bear.

In Daniel’s dream, she was debating what she should do with Felix. He saved her life, freed her from that horrid place but now should she return to her herd with, or without Felix. Dream Felix looked at her and asked if anything was on her mind.
“Well… no.” Dream Felix looked at her knowing she was lying and ran to her, jumped up for Daniel to hug him in midair.
“Daniel I know something’s up. You know you can trust me, no matter what,” Dream Felix said, hugging Daniel. With this Daniel felt so comfortable, until she heard Felix say, “Daniel, can you please wake up?”
“What Felix?”
“Daniel can you wake up, it’s time for breakfast,” Felix said, now the whole world Daniel was in was fading away, and turning into her cold crude reality. Daniel looked around in fear, her dream seemed so real, yet it was a lie she had told herself. She was about to cry when she heard Felix say, “Daniel can you let me go?”
“Oh, sorry Felix I was, uh…” Daniel lowered the slave back down, going towards the food.
“It’s okay.” Felix stopped for a moment before he decided to tell her, “You talk in your sleep, I can guess it was about us escaping here. You weren’t sure what to do with me once we escape, but understand this. You can trust me, no matter what.” Daniel blushes once she heard Felix.
“So you’d help me escape?” Daniel asked.
“Sure, but first we need to find a way out for both of us. That means we need a secret passage for you to fit in, so about forty…”
“Actually Felix I’m still growing, it might have to be a little bigger the forty,” Daniel informed him.
“How big will you get?”
“About ninety feet tall, be glad I’m a girl. The boys are about a hundred twenty feet tall.”
“Well that means that the only way out, is through the main gates, we’re lucky, the Lord’s general’s out looking for new beasts or…” Felix was interrupted but a groaning noise.
“Ops sorry, uh where did you put my breakfast, Felix?”
“Oh let me get it for you,” Felix said as he forgot to push it into her reach. “So we need to get her free. What can we do? What, the chains have to be drilled into the wall!” The slave got it into her reach and said, “Daniel can you check the chains on the wall to see if you can find the welts holding you down.”
“Sure, just let me eat right now. It’s still early, or it feels like it.” Daniel gave a hollow laugh. She then picked up the meat to hear the door knock.
“Slave ya’ died in there?!” Felix thought fast and ran up to the door, still closed.
“No, the beast is asleep. I’ve been trying to wake it up!” Felix faked whined. The guard didn’t answer but keep the doors closed. Walking back to Daniel, her eyes were watering a little, with some meat in her mouth.
“You think I’m…” she was cut off by Felix shushing her.
“No I don’t, but I need to look afraid of you when the guards can hear me.” Felix walk to Daniel’s front left leg and hugged it. To Felix, it was like hugging a tree, to Daniel, it was her friend showing that he truly did care about her.
“Thanks Felix but can you not talk like that. I don’t like it.”
“Sure,” Felix looked over to find the cart empty. “I think it might be best if I leave, before the guard gets suspect something.”
“Okay, bye Felix,” Daniel said as she went back into deep thought.
“See you later Daniel,” Felix said, trying to lighten her mood.
