Before Kallen could head into the kitchen for more snacks, her mother suddenly entered the room. The older woman, who had red hair just like Kallen, took one look at the garbage on the floor and the girl standing over it. She didn't look very pleased.

"Uh...hi, mom...buuuuurp!" Kallen chuckled nervously. She gave her belly a tiny pat.
