Maybe being fast again would work out well. But how fast? How about time-defying fast?
Sure it didn't make sense but Robert ran so fast he defied time. He ran around until he stopped, seeing another student looking in a dumpster.
Robert realized what was happening. The student picked the necklace out of the dumpster. He wondered aloud about using it. Robert hoped he could talk without everything standing still and he could. As long as he didn't move.
Robert said, "That necklace will screw you over. Trust me."
The student said, "Who are you? ...Wait, Robert Jacobs? You're a legend! I mean...it's cool seeing you. Gotta go." The student turned to leave with the necklace.
Robert said, "My turn to ask...who are you?"
The student replied, "Steven. But I really should get going."
Robert replied, "Just don't use that necklace, okay?"
Robert then ran off, disappearing somewhere in time, hoping he helped.
Steven looked at the necklace and thought:
I have three choices.
"It's interesting...might as well try it on."
"Maybe when I get home, then I'll try it."
"Leave it here."
Steven thought those choices sounded really familiar.
And this story came to an end, as a new one opened up.
