This choice: Spyro becomes a girl, and Cynder becomes the same color as Spyro • Go Back...Chapter #5Spyro becomes a girl, and Cynder becomes the s... by: Write/reader Got it! Here’s a fresh take, keeping Spyro’s color accurate (purple with a golden underbelly and horns) and focusing on them now looking very alike after the change:

The machine pulsed louder, filling the cave with a deep hum. Spyro struggled in the energy net, growling, “What’s—what’s happening?!”
Cynder gasped as the energy crackled around her, surging through her scales. “Spyro! I can feel something—it’s like—” Her eyes widened in alarm as her black and crimson coloring shimmered, melting away like ink under sunlight. Slowly, her scales brightened into a deep violet, the same shade of purple as Spyro’s own. Her underbelly turned soft gold, her horns lightened, even the webbing in her wings morphed to match.
Spyro’s eyes darted between Cynder and himself, but his own body felt strange—his chest tightening slightly, his snout softening, his frame growing just a bit slimmer, sleeker. Then, his voice cracked upward, turning lighter. “Wait—what’s happening to me?!”
“Spyro!” Cynder’s voice trembled, “Your body—”
With a final surge of light, the nets vanished, and they both tumbled to the ground. Spyro rolled over with a groan, shaking off the dizzying sensation, then froze.
His—no, her—voice sounded higher, unmistakably feminine. She scrambled to her feet, looking down at herself in shock. Her chest, hips, even her face felt slightly… reshaped. “No no no… I—I’m a girl?!” she yelped, turning frantically in place.
Cynder rushed up beside her, her newly violet scales shimmering faintly in the cave light. She caught sight of herself reflected in a nearby scrap of polished metal. “What the—Spyro, I look like you! I mean—I’m purple! And gold!”
Spyro gawked at her. “Cynder, we look almost identical now!” She pawed at her own face, wings, chest, tail. “And—and I’m a girl, like you!”
Cynder gave a nervous laugh, eyes wide. “We’re like—mirror images! What did that machine do to us?!”
Spyro’s wings drooped a little as she took a shaky breath. “I don’t feel any different inside… but outside—this is nuts!” She looked down at her slimmer paws, her softer voice still rattling her nerves. “We’ve gotta figure out how to undo this!”
Cynder looked back at the ancient machinery, her reflection shimmering off the strange metal walls. “That plaque said, ‘Parts of two become one’… Maybe it’s trying to make us match? Or… combine us somehow?”
Spyro shuddered. “Well, whatever it’s doing, it already changed us plenty!” She shot Cynder a determined look. “So, what do we do? Try to reverse it?”
Cynder tilted her head, a slow smile tugging at her mouth. “Or maybe…” She flicked her newly purple tail playfully. “Maybe we see what else this cave has in store?”
Spyro sighed, rubbing her forehead. “Ugh, why do I feel like either choice is going to get us in even more trouble?”
What should Spyro and Cynder do?
