This choice: Jenny offered her a drink • Go Back... "Can I get you a drink, Yasmine?" she offered. Yasmine happily accepted the offer, taking a seat on the couch. Jenny forced herself away from Yasmine and into the kitchen. âThis ring grants wishes! I can wish Yasmine to ask me back out!â she thought, giddily before shaking her head. âNo, that would be like rape, I canât do that to her!â she acknowledged as she opened a fridge. She still had a blueberry smoothie, Yasmineâs favourite in her fridge. She took it out and looked at it.
âWhy wonât she love me?â she whispered to herself, before leaving the kitchen, handing her the smoothie. âThanks, Jenny. Is that a new ring?â she asked. âYeah, Aisha got it for me!â Jenny lied to her surprise. Yasmineâs eyes widened before narrowing. Aisha Ali had become infamous at the school for being an open and promiscuous lesbian. She had been disowned by her parents, but due to her inheritance, it made no difference. She even got herself emancipated, following the disowning and was responsible for bringing down her parentsâ company by buying into a competitorâs company.
The competitor ruined her parentsâ company and Aisha got the satisfaction of firing her own parents after the very hostile takeover. Because he sided with the Alisâ, Dr Bookstine had lost his job as the companyâs Chief Medical Officer. âAisha Ali gave you that ring?â she sought confirmation, anger in her voice. âYeah, she wants me to go out with her. I told her I needed to think about it.â Jenny lied. âShe ruined my family!â retorted Yasmine.
âI think I can convince her to rehire your father. Besides she is really pretty and I have been pretty lonely lately.â Jenny responded. âWhat happened to âI am not a lesbian?ââ retorted Yasmine. âJust because Iâm not a lesbian, doesnât mean I donât need companionship!â answered Jenny, feeling heated. âYou know what? This was a mistake! I shouldnât have come andâŚâ âThen GO! What is your problem, Yasmine? Youâre supposed to be my friend and you hurt me so badly! Then you wonder why I go looking for comfort, elsewhere? Just run away and dump me all over again, because thatâs what youâre good for!!!! Just GO!â screamed Jenny, tears falling down her face, smudging down her mascara.
She ran upstairs at full pelt. She felt like her stomach had exploded and her heart had been shattered in a million pieces. She collapsed on the bed, crying her eyes out. âWhy doesnât she love me? Why does she keep hurting me? Why?â were the only phrases that left her lips as she bawled, helplessly. âJenny? Can I come in?â came a tiny voice behind the door. âGo away, you only live to hurt me!â cried Jenny. âI didnât mean to upset you, Jenny. Iâm sorry.â Jenny looked up, her vision slightly impaired by her dishevelled hair and burning red eyes.
âI love you, Yasmine. Why donât you love me?â she asked, tremors were clearly audible in her voice. Yasmine sighed âI do love you, Jenny. I just donât want to be in a romantic relationship with anyone right now!â âWell I do! With you! Yasmine, we are so perfect for each other! Why are you such a damn closet case?â she retorted. Yasmine pulled Jenny close to her. âIâm not a closet case, Jenny. I know that Iâm gay. But I still donât want a romantic relationship at the moment.â revealed Yasmine. âYou are? Really?â squealed Jenny, excitedly.
âJenny, I havenât changed my mind. I am not interested in a romantic relationship at this time. I am happy with things as your friend. If thatâs not enough for you, I understand.â replied Yasmine. âI lied about Aisha giving me the ring; I just thought if I made you jealous, you might go out with me!â Jenny confessed. Yasmine nodded. âIâm not surprised or upset. I am flattered that you care so much about me to try that!â âYasmine, I love you! I guess I am gay too, but I donât care about what sexuality I am or orientation or anything! IâŚI just donât understand why you donât want to be in a relationship!â Jenny pleaded.
âI just donât feel up for one right now. I am not saying I donât want one ever. Or that I am against having one with you. I justâŚdonât have that desire or need at the moment. I guess I am saying I donât really want a sexual connection with anyone at present.â She explained. âIs that all? I donât need sex or experimentation or anything like that! I just need to know that you care about me and want an exclusive and monogamous partnership with me! I donât need anything else!â Jenny responded. âI couldnât do that to you! I know that youâŚâ âYou clearly donât understand what it is I want. I want to be your romantic girlfriend. I donât need sex or touching or any kind of stimulation. Just this hugging is all I need! Because I donât want what we have with anyone else!â interrupted Jenny. Yasmine paused, before leaning in and kissing Jenny.
Jenny basked in the wonderful sensation before pulling away. âIâm not doing this until I know we are a couple!â decided Jenny. âWe are a couple, Jenny! I couldnât be with anyone who didnât respect me and I know you do. I have always loved and respected you too!â she replied. A tear ran down Jennyâs cheek. Yasmine beamed at her and kissed her tenderly. âIâm kinda of tired. Can we cuddle each other in bed in a non-sexual but highly intimate way?â enquired Yasmine. Jenny quickly agreed. It was a wonderful feeling that Yasmine gave her, as she held Jenny in her arms. Neither of them bothered to change out of their clothes, just resting against each other. âIf only we could cuddle like this every night, completely bare!â thought Jenny as she fell asleep, cuddled up against Yasmine. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
