Father/Son

Icefen growled as he made his way through the snow covered woods, he dark fur being covered with patches of snow as his padded hands ripped branches that blocked his way. As he continued on he thought of how just minutes ago he had been resting in his den, enjoying the quiet of winter when he had caught a distinct scent; humans.

He huffed as he stopped to raise his snout. He took a quick inhale to find the scent and then continued his way, his claws ripping more foliage as his padded feet crushed the snow and plants under. He did not care for stealth and in this case didn't need it as the scent confirmed only one human. Obviously some poor fool who thought he could take on the 8ft wall of fur cover muscle that was Icefen.

"Well you're in for a rude surprise." Icefen said under his breath as he came across the clearing the scent originated from. He was shocked to see there was no camp or fire, or even a hunter for that matter. Instead Icefen found in the center of the clearing, the origin of the scent, a small basket, seeming to overfill with some red cloth as it moved. As he approached the basket slowly, he found inside a small pink creature that he recognized from spying on the village.

"A baby? What are you doing here?" The wolf growled as he went on all four and leaned into the basic for a closer look at the infant. He had expected the child to cry from the growling but instead heard laughter from it. He watched as it reached out with it's small hand towards him. He was perplexed by this, humans had always hated Icefen, whether by running away or trying to kill him, but this child showed no fear.

Icefen grabbed the basket and lifted it up as he stood, he looked down at the child again realizing he couldn't just leave him and that he was most likely left to die in the forest,he decided to look after him.

"Hope you won't be too much trouble, Reed." The wolf said as he began making his way be to his den, carrying the child in his arms as he sheltered it from the cold.
