A world of swords, sorcery, monsters, and tickling!

This choice: "You're actually telling the truth, aren't you?"  •  Go Back...
Chapter #7

"You're actually telling the truth, are...

    by: Unknown
"Unfortunately," you sigh. "If I could have gotten the treasure myself, I would have."

It looks like she's buying it! She begins freeing your ankles from the rack.

"I knew there was treasure down here," the female warrior admits, unshackling one of your wrists, "it was only a matter of time before I found it."

She smiles at you mischievously as she starts winding a length of coarse rope around your free hand.

"Hey," you groan, "that's not necessary."

"Maybe not," she replies, unshackling your other hand and then roughly binding both hands together behind your back. "but a girl doesn't get very far adventuring trusting strangers."

You can see the sense in that and grumble quietly as she winds the rest of the rope around your waist, pinning your wrists to the small of your back, leaving a length of several feet with which to humiliatingly lead you around.

"Now," she says, "let's get this treasure."

You gulp nervously, and head off in a random direction.

After a seeming eternity of winding corridors and ancient, dust-laden chambers, your captor begins to grow impatient.

"I'm beginning to doubt the veracity of your claim," she says through clenched teeth, eyeing you angrily.

You pass a dismal, lichen-infested wall with a number of slime-black skeletons dangling by their wrists and ankles from dark iron chains set in the ceiling. Several pairs of manacles hang empty over piles of long-ago-rotted remains.

"Maybe I'd be better off leaving you here with these lonely fellows," she says, pointing at a pair empty manacles in a crowd of menacingly grinning skeletons.

"No, no!" You reassure her, working feebly at your bindings, "it's just up through here. Or very close past that ... as I recall!"

As you wander deeper into the ominous catacombs you notice a faintly glimmering symbol on a wide flagstone in the middle of the path ahead. A Rune Trap!

The sultry warrior's foot hovers inches above the rune. Do you warn her or leave her to her fate?!

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. Warn her!

2. Let her trip the trap

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
