"Indeed, they failed though. My mother already captured them." You suddenly heard a feminine voice say behind you
"What the?!" You turn around alarmed, behind you is standing a young woman dressed in a strange robe, more colorful than typical one worn by mages, that is not the strangest thing about her however, on top of female's long blonde hair you can see a pair of fox ears! And after a moment you also spot a tail growing from her back!
"Don't worry, you don't have to fear me. In fact, I hoped you would help me stop my mother." Started the fox female
"What are you? I never heard of a race like yours."You say, with some suspicion, still carefully looking at her
"Our race comes from a distant continent in the east. We are known as Tikari Kitsunes in our homeland. From what I know, me and my mother are the only ones around here." The female explains
"Why are you on your mother here then?" You say
"Well... my mother was chased out of our village for a crime she didn't commit, and I decided to go with her, as I didn't have any other relatives there. But, after we were banished she has changed, ever since then my mother is consumed by lust for revenge, and wants to gather enough power to destroy our village. Our kind can increase our power by tickling others, and through that enhancing our magical capabilities. She was the one responsible for disappearances around here recently." Explained the fox female
"But... why do you suddenly want to stop her? How do I know it isn't just some trap." You say
"I just think instead of being stuck in the past and her revenge scheme, we should just try to rebuild our lives on this continent. It's not right to hurt innocents just to achieve her revenge! I was trying to tell that to the group who was camping there earlier... but they didn't listen." She says
"Okay, let's say that I believe you. How do you suggest that I can stop your mother?" You ask
"As you are now, you can't. But I can help you train, and then we will go to confront her together." She explains
"I don't even know your name though? And you expect me to just follow and train with you?" You say
"It's Reikatsu. Just Rei is alright though. I found an abandoned household just outside of that forest where we will be able to train without risk of my mother finding out. She only ever ventures to the village, and to her hideout in the heart of the forest." She introduces herself and continues the explanation
