I looked down at the small woman in front off me. She was dressed in a bathrobe so I must have woken her up. "Matt? What are you doing here this early?," Meilin rubbing her eye, but giving me a smile. "Ehm... it's almost 12 o'clock, but I'm sorry if I woke you up." I said as Meilin gestured me to come in. "Nah! Don't worry I was just napping. Come in," Meilin closed the front door and walked into the kitchen. I followed her into the pristine gallery that she called a kitchen.
Meilin made herself some coffee. "You want some?," she asked. "No thanks, I just had breakfast." I answered as I sat down at the gleaming kitchen table.
"I haven't seen you for a while, so how is it going?," Meilin sat down in front of me and took a sip of her coffee. "Better than ever..." I said. "And.... how are things between you and Barbara?," she asked. "Well ehm... we broke up, but how are you?," I saw Meilin's grin when I told her about me and Barbara breaking up. "Not that bad... not that bad. I'm still busy with studies and my work." she said as she took another sip.
"Okay, to the point. I'm not really here to catch up," I took out the remote and lay it on the table. "Ehm... you're here because your TV-remote broken?," Meilin asked a little confused. I told her the whole story about the remote, while she listened carefully. When I finished my story Meilin had just finished her coffee. "So, this remote was struck by some lightning and now it can change the size of anything you want?, Meilin asked. "Yep," after I said it there was a moment of silence before she burst into laughter.
"That's the most stupid thing I've ever heard all week!," Meilin said as she calmed down. "So you don't believe me?," I said a little disappointed. "Well, it sounds a bit unlikely," she smiled as she filled her cup again. "Okay, I'll prove it to you!,"
