Remembering how tough it was for you when your grandmother passed away, you decide to choose that one.
"The kids will be thrilled. It's not often we get volunteers willing to become old people." You smile. "I'm just doing what I can to help."
Carol straps you into a machine. "So, you're going to become Agatha Wallace for two months. She's 82. Now, you'll take on her mannerisms and appearance, but it'll still be you doing everything." You nod, and sign the waiver she gives to you.
She pulls a dark visor over the chair you're sitting in. You can hear her clicking a few buttons kn the other side of the tinted shield. You see a flash of green light, and an intense pain shoots through your body, but it's gone as quickly as it started. The pod opens back up and you see Carol. She holds up a mirror to your face and you see a friendly looking old woman looking back at you.
"Hello, Agatha," she says, smiling.
"Hello," you say in a feeble voice. She grabs one of your gnarled, wrinkled hands and leads you to a changing room, where she helps you change into a floral print, stereotypical old lady dress.
"Your grandchildren will be here in a half hour," says Carol.
While you wait, Carol talks to you. Your grandchildren are a fifteen year old girl named Kaylee and a thirteen year old boy named Max.
"Grandma!"
You look up and see two kids walking towards you. The girl hugs you.
