This choice: nothing has happened. It only works with Mel • Go Back... You and Hayley parted immediately but it was too late. Your magic went through her and, in less than the blink of an eye, your bedroom was back the way it was before Mel inadvertently trashed it with her magic practice.
You rushed over to the mirror and, to your relief, nothing seemed to have changed. Then, you looked closer and found highlights of honey blond in your hair! You were tempted to freak but you paused as you found that it was really barely noticeable.
"Are you still you?" asked Hayley, concerned.
"For the most part." you replied. "I have light honey blond highlights in my hair but its barely noticeable."
Hayley sighed. "Well, at least it's not a dramatic change." she said. "You were lucky... this time." she paused, frowning. "But the bad news it that your power will channel through all of us girls, including Hannah and Mom."
You swallowed hard. "I know." you said. "If Hannah finds out about this, she'll be wanting to hug, shake hands, tackle me, whatever she can think of to progress my changes." you sighed, siting down on your bed. "What a mess I'm in! I really don't want to be a girl but I don't want to have to isolate myself from the family, either!"
Mel sighed herself. "We'll figure something out." she said. "Maybe the physical contact can be blocked with heavy clothing or something."
"Maybe." you said. "But I don't know if I want to risk testing that."
"We have to do something, John." said Hayley. "Otherwise, like or not, you ARE going to become a girl."
You did not like the thought of that but then, a thought ran through your head that you liked less. "Wait a minute!" you said. "What if this works both ways!?!"
"What do you mean?" asked Mel, now worried.
"Suppose that, when you used that water spell on me, my magic augmented it and caused the swimming pool of water to fall instead of a few sprinkles." you said. "If that is the case, I will transform weather my power goes through you girls or your power goes through me!"
Mel and Hayley turned to each other, shocked.
"Actually, that would make sense." said Hayley. "As Mel's power is not yet strong enough to summon that much water at once." she winced. "If that IS the case, John. You are going to have a very rough time staying a boy."
You moaned and fell back onto your bed. "why me!?!" you asked out loud. you look at your sisters. "Don't get me wrong, guys. I'm sure being a girl is not so bad but it's completely alien to me, its frightening!"
"We understand, John." said Hayley.
She moved to touch his hand, reassuringly but paused, remembering his power problem and pulled her hand back. "Sorry." she said. "I almost forgot."
"You moaned a second time, tears forming in your eyes. "What am I going to do!?!"
Hayley thought for a moment then turned to you with a clever grin on her face. As you looked at her, you had a feeling that your were not going to like it.
"We all know it's going to happen, eventually, John." she said. "so why don't we got you used to being a girl as you change so it would not be such a 'culture shock'?"
You looked at Hayley as if she had completely lost her mind but then Mel gave her words some thought and grinned herself. "That's not a bad idea." she said. "But John will have to do everything to himself as using magic or dressing him ourselves would force the changes."
Hayley nodded. "And that would be unfair to John." her ginned deepened as she turned to you. "But, you have to admit, John. The idea makes sense."
You sigh then said.
