Mom sighed. "It means that you are a weregirl, John." she said.
You were shocked. "I'm a what!?!" you asked.
"A weregirl." said Hayley, somewhat sadly. "Once magic takes root, and you are still a boy, you will transform into a girl your own age, who will be witch, every night for the rest of your life.
"Is... Is there any cure for this?" you asked, alarmed.
"There is." replied mom, equally as sad. "But you are not going to like them."
"What are they?" you asked.
"If we change you into a girl before magic takes root, you will be cured but you will be a girl for the rest of your life." said mom. "If the girl gets pregnant while 'taking her turn' she will take dominance and you will only have access to her five senses, nothing more."
"So, becoming a girl is my only option to living a double life?" you asked, frightened.
"We can make the girl sterile through normal drugs but it would have to be her decision." said Hayley. "But it would have to be her decision as she would have a personality all her own, based upon your memories from a girl's point of view."
You swallowed hard. "How long do I have to decide before its too late?" you asked.
"Two days." replied mom with a sigh. "Any more than that, we can not help you, I'm sorry."
"I'll be in my room." you said, quietly. "I have a lot of thinking to do."
With that, you slowly walked out of the kitchen. Mom nor Hayley followed, knowing that you had a very difficult decision ahead of you. Upon entering your room, you closed and locked your door then sat onto your bed and began to cry as your emotions waged war within you. Magic was slowly taking root within your body and the only way to escape being trapped is to become a girl, the last thing you wanted to be as you had a crush on Megan.
"There has to be a way to beat this!" you sobbed to yourself. "But how!?!"
You only had two days and the clock was ticking...
