"NO WAY. THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN" you scream. Mom and Hayley look at each other sadly. "Fraid so, bro" Hayley says, but we'll all help. Mom, me, Mel Hannah, Megan and Harry. Least you will have your memories and core beliefs. All that will change is your outlook on life....

"I'm not going to be some witch or girl" you scream again.

"Thats your choice, John" mom says flatly, but not from your rejection of magic. She knows that you must be feeling hurt and confused. "But that won't stop you changing. The change won't happen for a while, probably in the next couple of days. I want you to stay home until the physical changes are over."

You storm off. "So much for John not being threatened" mom says, shaking her head. "What was that about?" Mel asks, hearing you slam the door angrily. "Melanie. I want you to gather Megan, Harry and your sisters. I have something important to tell them about John..."

"Is he okay?" Mel says, suddenly alarmed.

"He will be. I only want to tell this once. Can you do this for me?"

Still uneasy, Mel nods, and calls both Mel and Harry, then finds Hannah. An hour later, mom goes up to your room, and
