Run to the center of the shoe

Even in the panic you are able to think clearly. This is life of death. If you can make it to the center of the shoe where her arch does not press into the insole then you should be able to avoid the impact of her steps. You make a mad dash and calculate about where it would be. But before you make it to your destination everything goes black. The light from the opening in her shoe is gone! You can’t calculate where the center of the shoe is! You hear the rubbing of her sock like a massive cotton bulldozer behind you.
You run and run and then plop yourself down where you believed the spot was. Her toes hover inches above you as they make contact with the end of the shoe. You brace yourself in the darkness. Then an ungodly amount of pressure radiates pain through your body. You tell in agony as the ball of her foot flattens you. You can swear your arm breaks instantaneously. “B…Brittany,” you barely struggle out as the air in your lungs are pressed out. You can hear her tying her shoes above. This is your last chance, you have to get her attention.
