The human's eyes bulged out of their sockets. "What? Nooo, please, I'll do anything!"

Eric and Brian stumbled over to the deer, keeping one eye on the events to their right.

"Oh come now, do you really expect me to let the irony of giving an egg-robber his own egg slip by so easily?"

The man looked from Esmerda to the Eric and Brian. "But, but, I can't--"

"Oh, don't worry about that," Esmerda said, baring some nasty looking teeth. "I have something special for you..."
