Something Else

"So, what should we swap?" Alex asked.

"Actually, Alex, I think I'm going to swap with Amanda," Karen said.

Alex looked at her strangely. "Why?"

"I think it would be fun to go back to the first grade, at least for a day," Karen said.

Alex nodded. He could understand that. Almost on cue, Amanda walked into the living room. Karen pointed the PAID at her and selected 'Life.' She pressed enter, and there was a great flash of light. When Alex blinked away the spots on his eyes, he saw Amanda standing where Karen was, and vice verse. Alex immediately walked over to Karen, but Karen's mother was already urging her out the door. Karen smiled and gave Alex a 'thumbs up' sign.

Alex's mother walked and said "Come on, Alex and Amanda! You'll be late for the bus!!"

'Amanda?' Alex thought. 'Why didn't my mom call her Karen? You must have to swap names and lives in order to get that to work.' Suddenly, something occurred to Alex. 'Wait,' he thought. 'Does this mean that Amanda is my girlfriend ?!?"
