May suddenly heard someone scream, she couldn't tell who exactly, but she knew it was coming from downstairs.

"I better go see if somethings wrong!" May said to herself as she ran to the door and opened it (it took a few tries though, since she was unused to Pika-form)

When she managed to get downstairs, she saw someone else, changed into a pokemon.
