"Leave soon?" Nate asked with the most confused look he could muster. "Leave where? Where are we?!"
"What, did you hit your head while you were asleep?" Erin asked with an amused smirk. "We have to catch the bus to Magic Kingdom, dummy. Now hurry up and get your stupid shoes on!"
'Magic Kingdom?!' the teenager thought to himself. 'Wait a minute...' He began peering around the hotel room and analyzing its contents. Mickey Mouse sheets, Disney memorabilia on the wall, pamphlets of stuff to do around the Walt Disney World Resort and Parks... 'Holy crap...' Nate peered down down at the jar of candies still on the side of his bed. 'They really are magic!'
"Earth to Nate! Hello!" Erin said while waving her hands in front of her brother's eyes. Her own eyes started to wander over to the jar. "Hey, can I have some candy?"
"N-N-No!" the boy suddenly yells out while grasping his candy jar. No way was he letting anybody get a hold on his candies now that he knew of their true abilities. If they were able to get him and his family to their dream vacation, he could only imagine what else they could do. In fact, he made sure to grab a few more and store them in his pockets.
"Would you please stop stashing candy and just get your shoes on?" his sister asked, rolling her eyes in the process.
"Oh, right..." Nate said with a nervous smile before slumping over and seeing his shoes on the floor. As her brother began tying his shoes together, Erin couldn't help but take the opportunity to grab a few candies of her own from the open jar.
Mike suddenly popped his head through the door. "Are you two ready yet or not?"
"You know how slow he is..." Erin sighed before popping a piece of candy into her mouth. "We might as well just get along by ourselves and leave his butt behind."
"Hey, can I see one of those?" the father asked curiously.
"Sure," his daughter said before handing Mike a candy as well. "Not like they're mine."
"Thanks." The man then pops the candy into his own mouth.
