Aaron (you) is looking around, and now that you're bigger and taller. You can see more than usual. You're 6'9" (2.05 meters) tall. James a typical 10-year-old, is 4 feet (1.22 meters) tall and his waist is now level with yours.
“Whoa, check it out, James.” You say pointing toward the Atterson's house on the right. “I can totally see over the fence and int their yard now! And it looks like someone’s at the pool!”
James squints and tries to follow your pointing finger. “Who? In the Attersons’ yard? What are they doing?”
You grin mischievously. “It’s the twins, Lola and Lily. They’re playing in their pool. And they’re not wearing much.”
You can’t help but let out a little snicker. Watching their same-age figures splash around in the water.
James's eyes widen. “Are you serious?! The loser twins are having fun?”
He gets on his tiptoes, trying to see, but it's no use. “Aaron, can you pick me up so I can see them too?”
Without hesitation you bend down and scoop him up with both hands like a father picking up a toddler. “Here you go, little buddy.”
“Oh man, thanks! But I’m not little—you’re just big” James exclaims while peering over the fence. “They’re so cute! We could mess with them.” He smirks, and you nod.
You're enjoying the newfound power of being so much taller and stronger. James oohs and aahs over the twins but you decide that’s enough and gently place him back on the ground.
“Hey man! I was in the middle of something!” James whines.
"Yeah. But my hands got sore." You say but James give look that he does not believe your excuse.
You glance to the left and notice your stunning neighbor Shirley. She is sunbathing in her garden. It’s something amazing for your young mind to take in. “Whoa, Shirley’s out catching some sun. Lucky her!” You chuckle and feeling that strange but thrilling sensation of being so much bigger. Her curvy figure and the way the sun glints off her sunglasses—it's like you're peeking from a hiding spot, except you're just standing tall.
"Well lucky for you to see her. I don't see over that tall fence." James whines at ground and lower level.
"It is not actually so...." You almost finish your sentence but feel small pain as James kicked your knee.
Suddenly you notice grumpy Mr. Benchton sitting on his porch. He’s frowning, as usual. You wave at him but the old man just scowls and mutters something about noisy kids. He probably thinks he forgot his glasses because one of the kids (you) looks twice the size of the other. But he is actually wearing them.
But then, something else catches your eye.
“Oh, and look over there, James!” you say, pointing to a van in the distance.
James doesn't see it clearly at first, but then his eyes light up. “Wow, ice cream van! Your height and those bigger eyes give you better eyesight!”
“Yuup. I think I’m gonna go grab us something sweet and soft.” You say and you mean ____________________________________.
