The being before me was at least fifteen feet tall, slightly wider than that, and... was mostly made of coiling blue tentacles. How big the core of it was in truth tricky to say. Not that that was foremost on my mind as my inertia kept me sliding on the slippery floor, wobbling on my feet attempting to stop.
Unsuccessfully.
"Oh nuts!" I gasp, shortly before I slide headlong into the mass of blue tentacles, eliciting a loud "Arrgh!" from the Albernate as we both topple to the floor. It seems that, despite his size, he didn't weigh much.
Shaking my head I try to get my bearings, and look straight into a disembodied eye. With a gulp I twist and try to see past it, finding it was fixed on the end of a long blue tentacle.
"H... hi... Albernate. I..." I gulp, no going back now. "I am... here for your needs."
"OoooOOOooooh!" Comes the surprisingly high pitched voice from somewhere in the mass of tendrils. "And aren't you a perky one!"
Rather gentle tentacles wrap around my arms and tip me back on my feet gently, pulling me away from the rather sticky coils I'd fallen into with a wet slurp. 'He' stands me upright on the slick floor, pats my arms, legs (and rear) down with a chuckle till I get my balance back.
"Yes," He says with a laugh. "Ekras and their like for smooth floors. Never understood it myself." The high pitch voice says, and I still don't see a mouth or any indication of where the voice is coming from. "Can be murder to move around. Normally I'd advise lower appendage wear with good grip, but then you won't be needing clothes for a while hmm?"
Oh. Please let there be some other reason for that than the obvious! I can feel myself blushing everywhere just at the thought!
