In the fields of Konoha's training area, ninjas often frequented the area doing all they could to hone their skills. Under normal circumstances no animals aside from ninja partner animals or summoned beasts ever came around, but every once in a while a wild animal would go through the area.
Among these rare animals was a lone wolf that came by occassionally to snoop around. Some ninja had taken to it as a kind of unofficial pet from the rea. Several of the ninja even fed it during breaks, and those meals had caused the lupine to grow rather husky.
One particular day, Hinata was training in order to make herself stronger. During this time she was using her gentle fist on a dummy, focusing her precision, her speed, She could tell she was getting better, but she wondered if she would ever catch up to her cousin Neji. As she began to get into the swing of her training she heard a noise that sounded like yelping.
Turning, she saw a rather big wolf come from the forest. It was as large as akamaru, but it seemed to also be fat as well as naturally big. Hinata noticed it was limping around, it's hind leg injured.
